After our first full virtual conference in 2021 and an in-person comeback in 2022 (with minimal hybrid parts), our next WLIC is being made even more accessible and inclusive by incorporating a stronger hybrid participation model, generously supported by the Dutch National Committee.

The 2023 hybrid approach includes different options for WLIC Open Sessions:

  • Certain sessions will involve only one-way communication, specifically through a live broadcast, whereas others will facilitate dynamic interaction in real time, both in-person and online
  • There will be a combination of on-site sessions as well as a few exclusive sessions held online, tailored to different time zones

Our full online offer includes:

  • Live access to the virtual platform, including all the sessions from the two Session Rooms
  • Access to the ePosters exhibition, including a voting feature to vote for the Best poster (Category People’s choice)
  • Access to the Opening and Closing Sessions via the virtual platform
  • Joining individual virtual meetings via Braindate
  • Possibility to post topics in the Braindate market to create discussion around your topic of interest
  • Access to all the conference Sessions (six Session Rooms) on-demand on the virtual platform for three months
  • Access to Simultaneous Interpretation in all IFLA languages when watching the sessions live
  • Possibility to join one virtual meeting each day organised in your region
