Definitions

The International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (“IFLA” or “host” or “hosting party”), together with the Library Association of the Netherlands as the National Committee, are the hosts of the 88th World Library and Information Congress 2023 to be held 21 – 25 August 2023 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands (“IFLA WLIC 2023” or “Congress” or “Event”) and have entrusted K.I.T. Group GmbH Association & Conference Management (“Organizer” or “K.I.T. Group”) as the Professional Congress Organizer (PCO) with the organization and implementation of the event.
The Organizer leads the Congress secretariat and is responsible for Congress services such as, but not limited to, registration services, hotel accommodation, sponsorship opportunities, exhibition management, etc.

General Terms and Conditions for Registration

These General Terms and Conditions are valid for each attendee registered for the IFLA World Library and Information Congress, 21 – 25 August 2023 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands (hereafter referred to as the ”congress”). Any person, delegate, accompanying person, student, media representative, speaker or exhibitor is considered an attendee. These terms and conditions are also binding for all group registrations. *Virtual Congress Registration includes:

  • Live access to the virtual platform, including all the sessions from the two Session Rooms
  • Access to the ePosters exhibition, including a voting feature to vote for the Best poster (Category People’s choice)
  • Access to the Opening and Closing Sessions via the virtual platform
  • Joining individual virtual meetings via Braindate
  • Possibility to post topics in the Braindate market to create discussion around your topic of interest
  • Access to all the conference Sessions (six Session Rooms) on-demand on the virtual platform for three months
  • Access to Simultaneous Interpretation in all IFLA languages when watching the sessions live
  • Possibility to join one virtual meeting each day organised in your region
